What is dating for exactly? People in the world date all the time for a variety of reasons. Should we as Christians jump on board and embrace this trend?
This sermon is a continuation of our dating series When Adam Met Eve. Here pastor Eugene uncovers a biblical picture for the purpose of dating.
If marriage was a climb up Mt. Everest. Preparation for marriage would be years of climbing lessons and smaller mountains. While dating would just be the flight to Nepal, right before the big climb. Put simply, correct dating is a transition from a person who is ready for marriage, to a person who is married. In order for the climb to be successful we must practice climbing not siting in a plane. The same goes for a successful marriage: we should prepare for marriage not dating. The focus of this sermon is to understand marriage and to learn how to train for it.
